This problem arose on two different occasions :

1. when a lot of memory is consumed by firefox + flash and other programs
and I change from one to another
2. when I re-log from hibernation

then it keeps displaying the mouse is moving but nothing else is working
for some time and then the system logs off or freezes permanently

the log file keeps logging
CACHE_ERROR subc 7 ch ... mthd ... data ...

Happy new year for all

Dear Kon,

a happy new year to you too!

Unfortunately you wrote to the wrong list. The xdg mailing list is not
the correct list to bring up X issues.

You might want to file a bug at the openSUSE bug tracker or send a
message to the nouveau or the xorg list.

Thanks,

Paul

PS: By the way, please just send plain text message to mailing lists as
the netiquette requires [1].
